Eco Fur and Possums in New Zealand

We have been selling possum wool clothing and accessories for over 10 years. Possums are the number one ecological threat to our native forests and the animal life that lives there. We believe in the "market solution" to the problem of 70 million possums which eat through 21 million tonnes of vege-tation each night and threaten native birds survival.  We are against the state sponsored 1080 poison program.

Preservation of New Zealand's Native Forests requires control of the possum population. All controls used in the past have had minimum impact. Poisoning of possums is an environmentally unacceptable way of control.

Our webshop has a wide range of possum garments and accessories for adults and children.

  • "I often climb mountains and beating the cold is always something of a mission, cold feet I find being especially uncomfortable. Knowing I was going to Everest in April/May, when I saw your sheepskin boots I thought just maybe they would be the solution. (The yaks carry to Advanced Base Camp (elevation 6400m) so the additional weight was not an issue. Above ABC I use lightweight down booties - which are not nearly as effective).
Well, now that I have returned (and successful trip it was), I can confirm that your sheepskin boots were the envy of ABC Everest. I could pad around the messtent quite comfortably down to minus 20 C, below that still being OK, but with the addition of a couple of pairs of thick socks. After two months of constant use, the sheepskin boots have stood up to the rigours of the mountain very well." Regards, Richmond.
  • "Just thought I'd let you know I got my lovely boots today and love them perhaps even more than the shorter sand colored ones. What did I do before the boots? I wear them every single day and get many compliments". Michelle, USA
  • " Just a quick note to thank you for your unbelievable service!! . !!! Pretty breath-taking! I love your silk & am especially fond of the V-neck unisex double-knit T. Your careful "touches" are all appreciated: orderly sewing; soft labels sewn on at both sides (therefore can't stick out accidentally); excellent dyes--in my book anyway.
Your catalogue looks great, so does your web site. If you know anything about the southern tip of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, you'll not be surprised to read that there's not much call here for sheep-fleece-lined anything!
Of course, I also like your e.info-newsletter.
Keep up the good work!" BP - Canada
